Summer is here

Wow, so we have had a great first week out of school! I love having them all home with me :) Thursday the 27th of May was the last day of school and I decided that this summer was not going to go to waste. Jaxon received a calendar from school associated with the library for the summer reading program. Almost every day has an activity for you to do with your kiddos. So Friday we made puppets of the boys they are on popsicle sticks and have magnets on the back so when we are not using them they go on the fridge. Saturday we unloaded the tote full of GEO TRAX train sets and built a track including two towns. Sunday and Monday were spent doing Memorial Day celebrations with extended family and ended with a cook out in our backyard. Tuesday was the first day of the library calendar and it said to go sign up for the summer reading program, so we headed down signed up and checked out some new books. Wed. was make a pirate map of your backyard, the boys really enjoyed this and then wanted to go outside to follow their maps around the yard. Thurs. was make cookies. Since the theme is Make a splash, we decided to make under the sea cookies. We just made them round, frosted them blue and decorated them with swedish fish candy, Yummy! Today, Fri. was supposed to be a day of playing in the sprinkler, but the weather did not agree so hopefully we can make that one up. Who doesn't want to run through a sprinkler on a hot summer day!? Now we just need a hot summer day :) Well I gotta run and put my babies to bed, until next time.
